I recently stayed at the Shepherds Huts and had a fantastic time. The location was perfect for exploring Holy Island, Bamburgh, Seahouses, Newcastle, and Durham. The huts themselves were absolutely beautiful, and the owners were incredibly friendly and helpful. The continental breakfasts were superb and the peacefulness of the surrounding land was heavenly. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the huts were well-insulated and heated. Additionally, having a nearby gastro pub and other lovely pubs within a short drive was a bonus. I highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

The huts themselves are lovely and really comfortable, allowing you to switch off from technology and enjoy the peace and quiet. The location is great, with all the attractions we wanted to visit within a 30-minute drive, such as Seahouses and Bamburgh. The hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the continental breakfast served at the hut was delicious.
One downside is that there is no electricity in the huts, which means no lights or charging devices. This was a bit inconvenient for us as we needed to keep our phones on 24/7 for emergencies.

The location of the huts was perfect for exploring nearby attractions such as Holy Island, Bamburgh, and Seahouses. Within just over an hour, we could also reach Newcastle and Durham, which was fantastic. the huts themselves were absolutely beautiful, and the owners were incredibly friendly and helpful. the continental breakfasts provided were superb, a great way to start the day. the peacefulness of the surroundings was truly remarkable, offering a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. the huts were well-insulated and heated up quickly, ensuring a cozy and comfortable stay during bad weather.
It would have been beneficial to have electricity running to each hut for basic lighting and charging devices, especially for emergencies. the lack of proper lighting inside the huts made it challenging to see and read at night.
